Welcome and thank you for considering sponsorship for Batalá Durham’s 10th anniversary this fall. On Saturday, November 15, 2025, we’ll host an anniversary concert at Durham Central Park in conjunction with Liberty Arts 9th Annual Iron Pour. This event is attended by a vibrant, multicultural crowd and at last year’s Iron Pour, 4,000+ people participated. Liberty Arts is expecting even more people this year. We are seeking community-minded sponsors who share our values of cultural celebration and community-building to donate towards this event.
Your sponsorship supports event-specific costs and our general operating funds including:
- Materials and supplies for Batalá’s Iron Pour performance weekend and learning workshop with Batalá ’s founder, Giba Concalves.
- Purchase and maintenance of band equipment (drums, drum heads, drum sticks and mallets, performance outfits)
- Supporting in-kind Batalá performances for non-profits, schools, and community groups
- Scholarships for people who want to join Batalá Durham but can’t afford to pay monthly dues
