After a bit of a break this summer, we’re back to performing. Come see us at Southern Village in Chapel Hill for [TGI] Friday on the Green. Batalá plays around 7pm and the show is free, open to the public, and all ages. More details available at Southern Village’s Facebook event.

On Friday, June 1st 2018, Batalá will be performing at the Durham Community Land Trustee’s annual fundraiser. Other performancers will include Kooley High, DJ Yammy, Students of Blackspace Poetry, CEF Advocacy Choir, and the event will be hosted by Pierce Freelon. This will be a family-friendly event and there will be food trucks, but bring some chairs and get your tickets to support DCLT ahead of time. Come early as we’re playing closer to 6pm, but the event goes until 9pm.

On Friday March 2nd 2018, Batalá joins the Duke Brazilian Association to celebrate Carnaval at Duke Coffeehouse Map. The show begins at 9pm with Batalá playing at 9:30pm. Duke Coffeehouse sells coffee and tea if you need a hot drink to warm you up, but is BYOB if you need a cold beer to cool you down.
